Explanation;
Ace’s powers got out of hand, which ended pretty badly. He killed his twin sister due the anger he was feeling. Over the years he had forgotten that, but the soul of his powers (which is deadly in the wrong hands) appeared and reminded him about the accident. Ace’s powers getting out of hand means, that the powers soul will step in control of his own body, but Ace sees everything what happens.
